The audio output from a computer’s onboard sound chip or sound card will require amplification to drive your speakers, which all of our speakers feature. There’s a
variety of sound stages available beginning with stereo (2.0) which uses left and right speakers and can be enhanced with the addition of a subwoofer (2.1) to better recreate the
lower bass frequencies. Surround Sound (4.0) uses four channels (left, right, centre and rear) to position the sound within the listening space. For better performance the rear
speakers and subwoofer are afforded their own separate channels (5.1) and finally, top of the range systems feature additional left and right mid point speaker channels (7.1)
and usually benefit from THX™ certification assuring compliance with stringent standards for power handling, frequency response and dispersion characteristics.
We recommend that a digital output is used for 5.1 and above speaker setups which is standard in all of our PC systems.
