No RAID offers above average performance, uses all available storage capacity and doesn’t require an additional Hard Drive but will require an additional storage device for backup data.

RAID 1 offers average performance and features 100% data security but you will lose half the capacity as each Hard Drive in the array is an exact copy of the other.

RAID 0 features nearly double the performance and uses all available storage capacity but will require an additional storage device for backup data.
