Screen size is the diagonal distance between corners on the screen, popular sizes include 17′′ for general use and 19′′ for more desktop screen estate and greater immersion.
Resolution refers to the number of pixels that can be displayed on the screen, common sizes include 1024×768 considered to be the lowest size for general use, 1280×1024 for better clarity in
movies or games and 1600×1200 for super smooth images.
Screen frequency is measured in Hz and refers to how many times per second the screen can update the image, as a rule of thumb you will
want this to be faster than the fps of the software you are using otherwise you’ll be skipping frames which will produce visual
tearing which can be seen mainly in first person shooters when you turn quickly and the display doesn’t keep up and higher rates will eliminate flicker that you tend to notice in your peripheral vision.
Update rate is the delay between you performing an action and then seeing that action on screen and is measured in milliseconds, less delay reduces ghosting and makes your system more responsive. The Dot
Pitch refers to the density of the screen’s pixels so the smaller this number is the
better the image definition.
