A Disc Drive is a removable media drive which allows you to read from CDs and DVDs so that
you can install purchased software, play audio CDs and watch DVD movies on your computer. If you want to be able to create (burn) your own discs then you will need a
drive that is capable of writing to both types of disc, this is called a CD/DVD writer.
Our combo drives fulfill these functions and are able to Re-Write many times to rewritable discs which means that you can use your Disc Drive as an alternative to your Hard Drive if portability is required. If you want to be able to seamlessly copy discs without using the Hard Drive as a buffer then we recommend a two Disc Drive setup.
