With a single Hard Drive it is not possible to use RAID however, you can partition the Hard Drive to create pseudo Hard Drives. The advantage of partitioning a single drive is that if one partition fails due to errors or corruption you will be able to restore the data from a backup stored on the other partition.

If your data is valuable it is reccomended to install a minimum of two Hard Drives so that all your eggs aren’t in one basket and to allow the use of RAID features.
